SIP Experience Center
Case study SIP Experience Center: Innovative fire safety in modern architecture
SIP, one of the leading agricultural machinery company in Europe, is known for its innovative technology and high-quality equipment. This commitment is additionally brought to life in their new Experience center which features Doorson standard and fire doors.
Taking danger out of fire
SIP Experience Center is an outstanding new building that was carefully planned and perfected to details. Doors were no exception: they had to be highly functional yet reflect a sophisticated design.
Our fire escape automatic sliding doors 500 EFS turned out to be the perfect choice.
With Doorson product solutions, SIP’s Experience center achieved top fire safety standards. Several fire doors are installed between the production area and the Experience center. In case of fire, they act as an escape fire barrier as they grant at least 30 minutes of fire resistance.
By pushing the door leaves, one can easily exit the danger zone. On top of that, their main advantage is innovative rescue mode which allows for rescue from the safe side of the fire by pulling the handle.
With their black profiles and robust construction, 500 EFS were designed to match the architectural concept. 500 EFS complement the overall look of this innovative center, proving that safety can be both functional and stylish.
“We chose Doorson fire doors because, in addition to their essential functionality (being fire-resistant), they don’t look like typical fire doors, which is extremely important for our facility, as every detail has been carefully thought out. We consider these doors to be “the leaders” in the fire segment, which aligns with our vision of becoming a leading niche specialist.”
– Metka Hrovat (chief brand & HR officer @ SIP)
“Our goal aligns with SIP’s vision to provide maximally flexible and efficient spaces that will grow with the company and can be easily and quickly adapted to needs and changes.”

Bringing safe emergency exit, space savings and smooth movement
Doorson standard doors 300 were installed in one of the most frequently visited hallways of the Experience center which leads towards the cafeteria and sanitary areas. With their redundant functionality, they provide a safe emergency exit and escape route.
Both fire and standard automatic sliding doors are excellent examples of meeting the highest safety measures. But beyond safety, they offer other advantages to employees and visitors of the Experience center:
- Space-saving: automatic sliding doors take up significantly less space compared to traditional swing doors.
- Custom operation: automatic sliding doors can be regulated with control switches, allowing adjustments to key parameters like opening and closing speeds and sensor detection range (0,1m – 1m). This ensures optimal door performance tailored to the building’s specific operational needs.
- Safe and smooth movement: advanced sensors ensure smooth and safe movement, even in high-traffic areas.
- Touchless access: automatic opening enables 100% hands-free operation, enhancing hygiene and supporting safer, more efficient workflows.
“A completely new user experience at the Experience Center tells visitors a story of effort and dedication, strength and connection. Users experience a wealth of tradition and expertise intertwined with a strong vision for the future. […]
Automatic sliding doors are an excellent example of modern trends in architecture and design, combining functionality, aesthetics, and technological advancement to create an enhanced user experience. The focus is on user needs for convenience and simplicity in daily life, while architects and designers recognize the potential for more efficient space organization, also ensuring aesthetic contributions.”
