Automatic sliding doors designed for movement

A premium automotive showroom is a space in constant motion. At Porsche Center Ljubljana, one of the largest and most modern Porsche centers in Central and Eastern Europe, different Doorson automatic sliding door systems were selected to support different ways people and vehicles move through the building.

At both Porsche and CUPRA, the main entrance is designed as a vestibule with two automatic sliding doors 300 R (4L/2S).

A functional entrance solution

_ The redundant system provides a reliable entrance solution while also enabling safe evacuation in an emergency.

_ Their height makes the doors a prominent architectural element when viewed from inside the building.

Designed around people and vehicles.

For vehicle pick-ups, both Porsche and CUPRA showrooms feature telescopic automatic sliding doors 300 T (6L/4S).

_ Their telescopic configuration creates a particularly wide clear opening, allowing new vehicles to move easily in and out of the handover areas.
_ The doors extend up to the ceiling, making the large openings feel like an integral part of the architecture rather than a separate technical element.

At Porsche showroom, a break-out automatic sliding door 300 A is integrated directly into the glass façade, blending with the surrounding glazing. In everyday situations, it functions as a standard automatic sliding door, while in an emergency, the break-out function enables safe escape through the full opening width – a feature that can also be used for moving vehicles in and out of the showroom.

Functionality behind the showroom

While customer-facing areas focus on presentation, service areas come with a different set of requirements.

Several automatic sliding doors 300 connect and separate Porsche and CUPRA workshops, service offices, storage and supporting spaces.

_ They provide privacy and a quieter working environment.

_ Their sliding operation saves valuable working space.

_ Passages and sensor activation allow employees, equipment and parts to move through easily.

_ Glass surfaces further support visibility and bring natural light deeper into the building.

Fire safety integrated into everyday use

In the Porsche service area, two automatic fire-rated sliding doors 500 EFS (1L/1S) separate individual fire compartments.

During everyday operation, they provide the convenience and space efficiency of automatic sliding doors. In case of an emergency, they transform to fire mode with safe evacuation and rescue functionality and EI30 fire resistance.

From main entrances and vehicle passages to workshops and fire compartments, each door system responds to the specific requirements of the space – supporting safety and efficient movement throughout the building.
