The newly designed modern Medical Station Magdalena in Maribor features sustainable elements with smart functionality. Among them are an energy-efficient glass façade, natural ventilation and Doorson’s automatic sliding doors – 27 standard automatic sliding doors and fire escape automatic sliding door.

Automatic sliding doors throughout the healthcare facility improve hygiene by providing touchless opening, while in the laboratory, they also ensure a safe working environment, supporting a smooth workflow.

01 Main entrance and pharmacy

We enter the facility through automatic sliding doors 300 with a redundant system. Designed as a vestibule (double entrance) the entrance improves energy-efficiency by minimizing temperature loss inside. The door drive is discreetly hidden in the ceiling, which gives this entrance a clean and elegant look.

The pharmacy has a separate, similarly designed redundant entrance from the outside but remains connected to the rest of the facility from the inside.

02 Parking garage

From the main entrance, we head left toward the elevators and staircases, making our way down to the parking garage on the lower (basement) floor of the facility. Here, fire escape sliding door 500 EFS, rated EI30, is installed at the entrance to the facility from the garage.

It provides an emergency exit from the garage to the outside or upper floors of the facility. In case of fire or power outage they transform into swing operation, opening from both directions with a push or pull for a safe evacuation and rescue.

03 Restrooms

Heading back up to the first and second floors, the restrooms are located along a long hallway, with clinics on the opposite side. The custom-made standard automatic sliding doors 300 reach the ceiling, and like the other doors in the building, their drives are hidden in the ceiling, elegantly integrating with the architecture. This design choice, combined with automatic opening, creates a modern & hygienic environment, enriched by the soft light passing through the milky glass door leaves that also guarantee privacy.

In addition to their premium custom design, doors 300 optimize space by smoothly opening and sliding into the wall.

04 Laboratory

On the second floor, the transparent glass sliding door 300 at the laboratory entrance signals a clear entry point for patients when called in by medical staff. Inside, milky glass sliding doors 300 ensure privacy by preventing direct views into different areas. Acting as internal room dividers, they save space & offer a practical and efficient solution.
