Primary School Loka Črnomelj
From safety to sustainability: modern school design that has it all
A new modern, thoughtfully designed primary school in Črnomelj, combines modern design with energy efficiency, with Doorson automatic sliding doors 300 at the school’s main entrance.
With its design and the use of Doorson automatic sliding doors, the school shows how we addressed three challenges of modern education spaces.
1. How we provided safety at the school entrance
The main entrance of the school is equipped with two standard automatic sliding doors 300, guaranteeing safe, quick, and touchless passage for all users.
The doors use motion sensors installed at heights of up to 3 meters, detecting people and objects within a 2,5 meter range. A safety curtain also stops the doors from closing if someone is nearby – an important feature that keeps children safe.
In case of emergency, the doors provide quick and easy evacuation. With the redundant system, pressing the Emergency switch opens the doors and keeps them open, ensuring the exit is always clear.
2. How we helped create a bright and stimulating learning environment
The glass façade, together with the 300 with glass door leaves, opens up views of the nearby park and lets plenty of natural light into the building. This improves children’s well-being and focus, supports better learning, and creates a pleasant environment for both students and teachers.
3. How we contributed to a low-energy building concept
In designing the school, special attention was given to creating a dynamic, pavilion-style complex that meets the requirements of a low-energy building. By choosing a vestibule at the main entrance, the direct flow of cold or hot air from outside is reduced. This improves the building’s energy efficiency while protecting the entrance lobby from weather impacts.
